Advice

We provide personalised advice to help members navigate complex financial decisions related to their superannuation and retirement planning needs.

Financial advice is not just about numbers - it’s about you. A good financial adviser will help you identify your financial life goals and then work with you to create strategies to achieve them.

It’s important any advice you receive considers your super savings and any insurance you may have. For most working or retired Australians, their super savings are a large part of their personal wealth.

Financial advice through ANZ Staff Super

All ANZ Staff Super members have access to  financial advice on key aspects of their super at no additional cost. If you’ve never sought advice before, this is a great place to start. Call us to make an appointment over the phone with one of our qualified financial advisers to discuss your:

  • Insurance needs
  • Contribution strategies
  • Investment choice
  • Retirement adequacy
  • Retirement options
  • Consolidation

When you meet with a Financial Adviser over the phone, they will spend some time with you to make sure they understand your needs. They can advise you on any of the topics above and provide you with a written Statement of Advice including an implementation plan so you know your next steps. This service is free of charge as part of your membership with ANZ Staff Super.

Retirement Advice

Making the decision to retire can be a complex one. In some cases, an initial discussion with a financial adviser about retirement adequacy or options, may identify the need for a broader advice discussion. In this case, members will be referred to our Retirement Advice service.

Our Retirement Advice service is there to help members prepare for and move into the retirement phase. A financial adviser can provide tailored advice on topics such as:

  • Super to pension
  • Transition to Retirement
  • Centrelink advice and optional implementation service
  • Advice on retirement income products
  • Household advice taking into consideration your spouse
  • Cash out recontribution strategies

A Financial Adviser will take you through the proposed advice solutions. Though this advice is generally available at no additional cost, depending on the scope of advice, there may be a fee payable by the member. This will be advised prior to any advice being provided and members will need to agree to this fee being charged. A Statement of Advice and implementation guide will be sent to you following your discussion.

Book now by calling 1800 000 086.

Comprehensive advice

If you require comprehensive financial advice beyond what our advisers can offer, you will be referred to the Financial Adviser Association Australia (FAAA) who can provide access to a local planner.  We recommend you speak with one of our Financial Advisers first before making the decision to pursue full comprehensive advice as we may be able to assist at no additional cost to you.

It’s worth noting that full comprehensive advice with an external adviser will be charged as a fee for service. This fee will be negotiated between you and the adviser and may vary anywhere between $2,000 to $6,000 plus, depending on the complexity of advice provided.
